Mounties say 41 thefts from vehicles last week

Last week saw 41 reported thefts from vehicles in Kamloops, according to the latest figures released by Mounties.

The number of thefts spiked from the previous week’s record low of 28 reported break-ins to vehicles since Kamloops RCMP began releasing the information weekly in July.

Since then, there have been 802 reported thefts from vehicles. The highest number of incidents per week was 73, recorded between Sept. 16 and Sept. 22.

The average number of thefts in a week is about 50.
