Mounties seek two suspects following knifepoint robbery in downtown Kamloops

The holdup took place on March 3 at 11:10 a.m. in a business in the 700-block of Victoria Street.

Kamloops Mounties are on the hunt for two men after a downtown store was robbed at knifepoint on Wednesday morning (March 3).

Const. Crystal Evelyn said police responded to a panic alarm at a retail business in the 700-block of Victoria Street at about 11:10 a.m.. The alarm was sounded as a result of a robbery involving a knife. Evelyn said two men entered the store and stole cash, the business’ cordless phone and an employee’s wallet and cellphone.

Mounties set up a containment area and, with the help of a police dog unit, found and seized a number of items as part of the investigation. The suspects, however, eluded capture,

They are both white males standing about six feet tall. Both were wearing baggy clothing.

One of the suspects was wearing a dark green jacket, while the second robber was wearing a black sweater and flat brim hat and carrying a bag with a box inside.
