North Kamloops loses its Mac's store

Management and staffing issues cited as primary reasons for the closure

A prominent North Shore convenience store has been boarded up and is now closed.

The Mac’s convenience store at 205 Tranquille Rd. has been closed, according to North Shore Business Improvement Association executive director Jeremy Heighton, who posted a photo of the boarded up building on Facebook.

Heighton said he has heard from the owner of the property, which also houses Kami Pizza and a pending cannabis retailer, that “management and staffing issues” were the primary reasons for the closure.

The space is now available for lease, Heighton said.
