“Upon attendance, what is believed to be a get-away vehicle was intercepted by police and one adult male was taken into custody,” RCMP Staff Sgt. Mat Van Laer said in a news release.

One of two occupants of the house had minor injuries.

“It appears that the fast response from out police officer may have prevented something much more serious from happening,” Van Laer said.

“We are thankful that nobody was seriously hurt.”

Van Laer said the investigation is ongoing.
