One person hospitalized, 23 active COVID-19 cases in Interior Health region: IH

One of 23 confirmed active COVID-19 cases in the Interior Health region is in hospital.

IH released new figures Wednesday outlining the current COVID-19 situation in the region.

To date, 486 cases have been confirmed in the Interior Health area.

On Wednesday, provincial officials announced 122 new cases of COVID-19 in B.C., bringing the total number of active cases to 1,614. An additional 2,966 people are being monitored by public health officials due to potential exposure.

Across the province, 60 people are in hospital and 23 of those cases are in critical care.
