UPDATE: As of 10:10 a.m., students can attend the school. Staff were called in earlier this morning and will hold class today.
Pacific Way elementary is closed this morning and without water due to a water main break, according to SD73.
The district is asking parents to make alternate arrangements for their children today.
No estimated time of reopening has been set, and parents are being asked to monitor the school's website, pacificway.sd73.bc.ca, for updates.
Video posted by the City of Kamloops shows water gushing near the edge of the schoolyard and flooded surroundings.
There is no word yet on whether or not the school itself has seen damage from flooding.
