The district is asking parents to make alternate arrangements for their children today.

No estimated time of reopening has been set, and parents are being asked to monitor the school's website, pacificway.sd73.bc.ca, for updates.

Video posted by the City of Kamloops shows water gushing near the edge of the schoolyard and flooded surroundings.

There is no word yet on whether or not the school itself has seen damage from flooding.
