Pandemic results in free transit, parking in Kamloops

The City of Kamloops has issued a notice that boarding buses will now be done via the rear doors, in an effort to keep social-distancing guidelines between passengers and drivers. Accessible boarding will still be available through front doors of buses

Riding transit buses in Kamloops is now free, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, as is parking downtown.

The City of Kamloops has issued a notice that boarding buses will now be done via the rear doors, in an effort to keep social-distancing guidelines between passengers and drivers. Accessible boarding will still be available through front doors of buses.

In keeping with social distancing protocols, BC Transit will not be collecting fares until further notice.

In addition, parking will be free as bylaws officers focus on helping in other areas,
