Police arrest two after shots fired near Tranquille River

Following the report of shots being fired in the Tranquille area west of the city, Kamloops RCMP have arrested two people from Ontario who were camped near the river.

Witnesses told RCMP four shots were fired.

Multiple members responded, including a police dog, to Tranquille Criss Creek Road near the Tranquille River shortly after 10 a.m. on Sunday.

Witnesses led police to a nearby camp where a man and woman were arrested and a starter pistol was found.
