Police report 34 thefts from vehicles, three bike thefts last week

Kamloops RCMP are reporting 34 thefts from vehicles and three bike thefts around the city from April 19 to April 25.

Police advise people ensure their vehicles are kept locked and valuables out of plain sight — preferably in the trunk of the car — to help prevent this crime of opportunity.

Items commonly stolen from vehicles include smartphones, wallets, tools, garage door openers, sunglasses, keys, documents, car accessories, cash or change and personal electronics such as laptops, tablets and GPS systems.
