Police seized weapons and recovered a stolen car last weekend while patrolling a residential street in Lower Sahali.
On Saturday (Jan. 16) Kamloops Mounties were patrolling Greenstone Drive, located between Columbia Street West and the Peterson Creek area, when they spotted a vehicle that had been reported stolen and called in backup.

“With the assistance of the targeted enforcement unit, officers were able to keep an eye on the vehicle until its occupants were on foot and it was safe to arrest them,” Const. Crystal Evelyn said in a press release.
The three people inside the vehicle — a man and two women — were taken into custody.
One of the women had a Taser, BB gun and knife on her, which police seized.
The male, Darcy Dean Anderson, 32, of Kamloops, was charged with one count of possession of stolen property under $5,000 and driving while prohibited. He remains in custody and his next court appearance is scheduled for Jan. 28.
Police also towed a suspicious vehicle from a parking lot on Greenstone Drive last Saturday. The silver Chevrolet Malibu had a mismatched license plate, its ignition had been ripped from the dash and zip ties, a box of cellphones and drug paraphernalia were also present when an officer came upon it at about 10:30 p.m. that night.
