The province has reported 634 new cases of COVID-19 and four further deaths due to the disease over the past 24 hours.
The Interior Health region has seen 33 new cases.
Elsewhere in the province, there have been 149 new cases in Vancouver Coastal Health, 365 in Fraser Health, 26 in Island Health, 60 in Northern Health and one new case in a person who lives outside Canada.
Four new variant cases were confirmed on Friday, bringing the province to 250 total cases, of which 12 are active. To date, 222 cases of the U.K. variant and 28 cases of the South Africa variant have been identified.
The province now has 4,901 active cases with 255 in hospital and 66 of those patients in critical care.
To date, 76,752 of B.C.'s 83,107 total cases have recovered while 1,380 have died.
On the vaccine front, the province has now administered 311,208 doses of COVID-19, up 12,357 doses since yesterday.
On Monday, B.C. will begin booking vaccine appointments for people age 90 and older and Indigenous people age 65 and older, with younger age groups down to age 80 being able to book in the following weeks.
