Royal Inland Hospital dealing with COVID-19 positive cases

Multiple staff members have tested positive for COVID-19 at Royal Inland Hospital, a source familiar with the situation in the hospital has told Kamloops This Week.

The source said an “outbreak” has occurred on 6 South in the hospital and it is currently being shut down, with no further admissions and surgeries anticipated to be cancelled next week as a result.

Multiple patients have also reportedly tested positive for the virus. The source said that the source of the infection has not been determined.

KTW has reached out to Interior Health for comment.
