School District 73 has moved kindergarten registration and information sessions online this year due to the pandemic.
Online information sessions have been scheduled for both schools of choice, on Jan. 13, and for neighbourhood schools on Feb. 3.

Registration for kindergarten at neighbourhood schools will run from Feb. 15 to Feb. 26. The online information session will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 3, with registration required on the SD73 website.
If required, in-person registration will also be available by appointment beginning on Feb. 16.
For schools of choice, including French immersion, Montesorri, arts and science and technology, registration will open on Jan. 25, with an information session held on Jan. 13 at 6:30 p.m.
SD73 has also changed the registration process for schools of choice and will not use the first-come, first-served process previously used.
Instead, if the amount of students registered exceeds spaces available, a lottery system will determine which students are registered.
As a result, parents can choose an alternate school of choice as part of the registration process.
