As of March 5, there are 10 active potential COVID-19 exposure events in the Kamloops region.
The list of schools and the dates of potential exposures due to at least one person in each school testing positive for the disease:
• Savona elementary (March 1)
• Sk’elep School of Excellence (Feb. 23, 24, 25, 26, March 1)
• NorKam secondary (Feb. 18, 19, 24, 25, 26)
• Kamloops School of the Arts (Feb. 23, 24)
• Valleyview secondary (Feb. 22, 23, 24)
• Kay Bingham elementary (Feb. 23, 24)
• South Kamloops secondary (Feb. 22, 23, 24)
• Arthur Stevenson elementary (Feb. 22, 23, 24)
• Chase secondary (Feb. 23)
• Beattie elementary (Feb. 18).
Interior Health will conduct contact tracing and determine the infectious person's close contacts, who will then be contacted by the health authority directly. People not contacted by IH directly are asked to continue attending school as normal.
After 14 days without any further cases, exposures are no longer considered active by the health authority.
