There have been 14 new cases of COVID-19 and one death associated with the disease in the past 24 hours in B.C.
That brings the province's tally to 2,849 cases and 171 deaths since B.C. saw its first case on Jan. 28.
By health region, there have been 963 cases in Vancouver Coastal Health, 1,491 in Fraser Health, 131 in Vancouver Island Health, 199 in Interior Health and 65 in Northern Health.
The province now has 162 active cases, with 2,516 people recovered. There are 14 people in hospital in B.C. and seven of those are in critical care units.
The death announced Wednesday occurred in the Vancouver Coastal Health region.
Provincial health officials had no new community or health-care facility outbreaks to announce. Eight outbreaks remain active.
One previous office outbreak at Maersk Distribution Canada Inc. in Delta has now been delcared over.
Earlier Wednesday, the province announced it would be moving into Phase 3 of its restart plan, allowing some increased economic activity and for residents to travel within the province.
