B.C. health officials have announced an additional 27 cases of COVID-19 and one death due to the disease on Friday.
Among those new cases are four in the Interior Health region.
Of the province's 3,419 cases of COVID-19, 1,057 have been in the Vancouver Coastal Health region, 1,764 in Fraser Health, 142 in Vancouver Island Health, 319 in Interior Health, 79 in Northern Health and 58 among those who reside outside Canada.
One new community outbreak was announced Friday on Haida Gwaii. The north coast island now has 12 active cases and one person recovered, all of whom are local residents. The initial source of transmission is still being investigated.
Exposures in the Kelowna region are continuing, with Interior Health notifying of potential exposure at Fossello's clothing store.
The province now has 294 active cases, with 12 in hospital and three of those people in critical care.
A total of 2,934 people have recovered, while 191 have now died since B.C.'s first case of COVID-19 in January.
