The latest B.C. COVID-19 numbers: 3,834 cases, 3,288 recovered, 195 deaths

The province has announced 47 further cases of COVID-19, identified over the past 24 hours, including seven new cases in the Interior Health region.

The new case count is among the highest daily new case counts in recent weeks.

There have now been 3,834 cases in British Columbia. Of those, 1,132 have been in the Vancouver Coastal Health region, 2,015 in the Fraser Health region, 146 in Vancouver Island Health, 384 in Interior Health, 91 in Northern Health and 66 cases of people who reside outside Canada.

There are currently nine people in hospital, including six in critical care, among the 351 active cases in B.C.

No new deaths or outbreaks were announced Wednesday and the province's death toll stands at 195.

A total of 3,288 people have now fully recovered.
