The latest B.C. COVID-19 numbers: 7,498 cases, 5,646 recovered, 219 deaths

B.C. health officials have announced another 122 cases of COVID-19 identified over the past 24 hours, including another six in the Interior Health region.

There are now 1,614 active cases in the province and 2,966 people being monitored by public health due to potential exposure.

By health region, there have now been 2,660 cases in Vancouver Coastal Health, 3,835 in Fraser Health, 195 in Vancouver Island Health, 485 in Interior Health, 237 in Northern Health and 85 among those who reside outside Canada.

No new deaths were announced Wednesday. A total of 219 have died since the pandemic game to B.C. in late January, while 5,646 have recovered. There have been 7,498 confirmed cases in the province.

There are currently 60 people in hospital, including 23 in critical care.

No new health care or community outbreaks were announced Wednesday.
