Three arrested as a result of robbery complaint in Kamloops

A bike, an airsoft pistol and people who know each other were part of the Feb. 8 action on Ord Road.

Kamloops Mounties are looking into a report of a robbery of a bicycle with the use of a firearm, but they say the two people involved know each other and that there is no risk to the general public.

Const. Crystal Evelyn said the robbery report drew a large number of police officers to the Ord Road area on Monday morning (Feb. 8).

She said an airsoft pistol and some drugs were seized by police during the investigation. Airsoft pistols are replicas that look like real guns and they shoot pellets.

Three people remain in custody as part of the investigation.
