Tranquille Road re-opened following police investigation into threat at business

Tranquille Road has re-opened after Kamloops Mounties blocked the street from traffic between Wood Street to McKenzie Avenue following a report of a threat to a business in the area.

Cpl. Jodi Shelkie said police closed a section of the North Shore street earlier to look into a threat at a business in the 300-block of Tranquille.

“Out of an abundance of caution, police have redirected traffic in this area,” Shelkie said. “Officers are on scene to determine if there is an actual threat.”

No evacuations were ordered.
