Trio of raids in Kamloops leads to drug, cash seizures and a pair of arrests

Two men could face drug charges following a series of police raids targeting two Kamloops homes and a Valleyview business.

Kamloops Mounties said they seized more than $350,000 in cash and “substantial” amounts of cocaine, methamphetamine, heroin, fentanyl and illegal marijuana, as well as a handgun and trafficking paraphernalia.

RCMP Cpl. Jodi Shelkie said warrants were executed at Sunshine Gardens Superstore, a garden centre on Kelly Douglas Road that specializes in hydroponics, and homes on Knollwood Drive in Valleyview and Kinross Place in Aberdeen.

She said two men, ages 24 and 50, were arrested at the time the warrants were executed and have since been released from custody.

Shelkie said police are reviewing the evidence seized and expect to forward charge recommendations to the Crown.
