Letter: Attacker of Jessie Simpson should pay for his care

Canada’s justice system does nothing for the innocent.

article continues below

Jessie Simpson was beaten with a baseball bat and will need care for the rest of his life. His family seemingly gets nothing for the suffering caused by Kristopher Teichrieb’s attack in June 2016.

Teichrieb got a seven-year sentence, less time served. What a pile of crap.

He should be made to work for the rest of his life and pay the expenses related to Simpson’s care.

That would be closer to justice.
