Letter: City should back TRU's growth

I totally support the university and other educational endeavours within Kamloops.

We should not stand in their way.

It is much better than the nice-to-haves — an outdoor rink, expensive over-engineered walking trails, million-dollar facelifts for parkades or a shiny new City Hall.

Get back to the basics with our tax dollars — infrastructure, reduced taxes for the elderly, health and welfare and jobs, like the Trans-Mountain project or Ajax.

And, for goodness sake, reduce red tape, regulations and bylaws.

They are choking our city and country.
