Letter: Feeling unsafe while using bank’s ATM


The lobby containing the ATMs in the Royal Bank on the North Shore has become a weekend shelter for the homeless.

As an older man, I don’t feel very secure when I go to make a withdrawal and there are people sleeping there.

I am pretty sure others must feel this way, too.

I have expressed my concern and the Royal Bank seems unwilling to do anything about the situation.

They have a lot of resources and smart people working there. Why won’t they at least attempt to come up with a solution to make their customers feel safe and secure?
