Letter: Focus needed on deer in Kamloops

Why do we pay the city for doing nothing to protect our garden? Is it about location?

Re: Stephen Karpuk’s letter of April 20 (‘Oh, deer, are they the culptits?’) regarding the deer population in the city.

I live right beside the Wilson House community garden and have two plots there that I pay $80 per year to use.

There have been up to eight deer essentially living there all winter. The fence is not even four feet tall, but the fence in the garden by the Kamloops Yacht Club is over six feet tall.

Why do we pay the city for doing nothing to protect our garden? Is it about location?

I agree with Karpuk about the city needing to deal with the deer problem.
