I have a suggestion to make for the $417-million patient-care tower being added to Royal Inland Hospital.
Can organic greenhouses and/or gardens be included on the rooftop?
It would not only supply patients with fresh, healthy foods, but would give some locals much-needed jobs.
We have an excellent horticulture program at Thompson Rivers University and we can hire local to feed local.
Would that not be a wonderful thing to do?
Other hospitals have done it and it has been very successful.
