Letter: Thankful for our police

I would like to say something positive about our police force.

article continues below

I am 75 and was recently stuck at the side of the freeway with a flat tire. I contacted BCAA and was advised it would be a 10-minute wait.

A Kamloops Mountie pulled over to see if I was OK and asked if he could help.

Since I seemed to have it under control, he just warned me to stay in the vehicle to be safe. There are many officers out there who deserve a pat on the back. Not all deserve a slap in the face.
