Re: Ken Wells’ letter of Nov. 17 (‘Vaccines not without risk’):

The BC Centre for Disease Control has stated that the hospitalization rate for those fully vaccinated is 2.3 per 100,000. For partially vaccinated, it is 10.4 per 100,000, but soars to 51.3 per 100,000 for the unvaccinated.

Additionally, the unvaccinated are approximately 10 times more likely to get infected, 52 times more likely to be hospitalized and 44 times more likely to die than those who are vaccinated.

Yes, the vaccine is only 95 per cent effective, but I kind of like those odds.

I can’t even imagine the horrendous amount of deaths there would be if no one was vaccinated.
