Letter: We need more leaders like Kamloops Coun. Walsh

How is it that provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry is asking people to limit their gatherings this Christmas season, yet thousands of people are going to hockey games and not wearing masks?

Re: Kamloops Coun. Denis Walsh’s stance on vaccine mandates (’The vaccine mandate debate’):

We definitely need more leaders like Walsh to step up and stop following the crowd.

Good for him. Every person should be very concerned about the long-term affects of COVID-19 vaccines.

We can already tell how well it’s working by the fact boosters are now required. In addition, outbreaks in hospitals and health-care homes where everyone is vaccinated is also a red flag.

As we can see, outbreaks are also occurring amongst the vaccinated.

I am extremely proud of Walsh for standing up for what he believes. Like Walsh, I have also has COVID-19 and the mental issues I have faced over the past 18 months far exceed my experience during the two days I was too sick to get out of bed.
