The Acceleration Bombers will be chasing revenge in the Kamloops Major Men’s Fastball League championship series.

In a rematch of the 2019 classic, the Bombers and Frenchy’s Prowlers will square off in the 2021 best-of-three final, which gets underway this week at Charles Anderson Stadium.

Games are scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 23, Tuesday, Sept. 28, and, if necessary, Thursday, Sept. 30, with all championship games slated to begin at 7 p.m. at The Chuck.

The 2019 final went the distance, with the Prowlers prevailing in Game 3 in extra innings.

Semifinal action took place on Tuesday, with the Prowlers knocking off the Barriere Giants 6-2 and Bombers vanquishing the Interior Heat 9-2.

Steve Davidson racked up 13 strikeouts in seven innings of work on the mound for the Prowlers. Offering run support were Ethan Lans, who belted a two-run homerun, and Roger Sheena, who launched a solo shot.

The Giants led until the third inning, when Lans’ towering homer gave the Prowlers a lead they did not relinquish.

Adam Donnelly pitched a two-hitter for the Bombers. Doug Hanson was 2-for-3 at the plate and scored two runs. Clint Anderson racked up three RBI.
