Cotter, B.C. drop first two draws at Brier

The start of Kamloops product Jim Cotter’s 10th appearance at the Tim Hortons Brier has not gone to plan.

Team B.C., for whom Cotter throws fourth, fell to 0-2 on Sunday in Calgary, with a 10-7 loss to Wild Card No. 1 (2-0), which is skipped by Mike McEwen.

Cotter curled at 75 per cent.

New Brunswick (James Grattan, 2-1) topped the Steve Laycock-skipped B.C. rink 7-5 on Friday.

B.C. will be back in action on Monday against Yukon (0-3), a 12:30 p.m. start.
