The Kamloops representatives at the Brier did not fare well on Saturday in the Calgary curling bubble.
Team Saskatchewan, which includes skip Matt Dunstone, a Kamloops resident, fell 6-3 to Ontario (1-1).
Dunstone curled at 78 per cent in the loss, which dropped Saskatchewan to 1-1 on the tournament.
Saskatchewan has one game on Sunday, a 7:30 a.m. start against Newfoundland and Labrador (Greg Smith, 0-2).
Team B.C., which includes fourth Jim Cotter, a Kamloops product, saw its first action on Saturday, losing 7-5 to New Brunswick (2-0).
Cotter curled at 65 per cent.
B.C. (Steve Laycock) and Wild Card No. 1 (1-1, Mike McEwen) are scheduled to play on Sunday, a 12:30 p.m. start.
