The Fraser Valley Cascades of Abbotsford posted a pair of wins over the TRU WolfPack last weekend in women’s Canada West volleyball action at the TCC.

Fraser Valley (13-5) earned a 3-1 victory on Friday and posted a straight-sets win on Saturday to leave the Pack with a record of 7-11.

"We need to open up our hands," WolfPack head coach Behlul Yavasgel told TRU Sports Information. "We are holding our fists tight because we want it so bad, but we just need to step back and find the joy of  being on the court and good things will happen naturally."

Brooklyn Olfert led the TRU attack with 11 kills on 26 attempts on Saturday. Kate Lamothe pitched in with nine kills and Abby Spratt racked up 20 assists.

TRU is tied for 10th in league standings. The top eight teams will qualify for the playoffs.

The WolfPack will be in action next against the MacEwan Griffins (2-16) on Feb. 3 in Edmonton.
