Grant to help Kamloops Canoe and Kayak Club pay for boats, training

A $15,000 Canadian Tire Jumpstart Fund grant will assist the Kamloops Canoe and Kayak Club in purchasing boats and training staff and volunteers.

A $15,000 Canadian Tire Jumpstart Fund grant will assist the Kamloops Canoe and Kayak Club in purchasing boats and training staff and volunteers.

New boats are expected to include a four-person entry level racing kayak, two-person intermediate level racing kayak and single-person intermediate level racing kayak.

The KCKC sent nine athletes to the Canadian Sprint Canoe Kayak Championships in August in Ottawa — Harris Hunter, Lucia Neuls, Quintin Neuls, Jonas Decker, Sebastian (Tate) Solomonson, Liam Grover, Mischa Grover, Abi Donaldson and Spencer Robinson.
