Heat edge WolfPack in back-to-back five-set matches

The UBC Okanagan Heat of Kelowna came from behind on Saturday to secure their second consecutive win over the Pack in men's Canada West volleyball action on the weekend in Kelowna.

"It was a hard-fought battle and lapses on serve receive cost us again," WolfPack head coach Pat Hennelly told TRU Sports Information. "We have to reset and be ready for a tough USask team."

Sam Flowerday had a team-high 16 kills for the Pack, who were up two sets to one on Saturday, but dropped the fourth set and fell

13-15 in the deciding game.

Rylan Ibbetson added eight kills and Sam Elgert racked up 34 assists.

The Heat improved to 4-4 on the campaign.

TRU (4-4) will play host to the Saskatchewan (5-3) Huskies next weekend at the Tournament Capital Centre.

Match times are 7:15 p.m. on Friday (Nov. 24) and 4:45 p.m. on Saturday.
