Interior Health Authority reversed a Monday, Aug. 23, order that banned team sports competition from happening in the region.
Kamloops city council received an email on Thursday, Aug. 26, from IHA that said team sports are permitted under the IHA gathering and events order.
IHA published updated restrictions on Thursday: Maximum gathering sizes are 100 and 50 outdoors and indoors respectively, and spectator capacity is limited to 100 outdoors and 50 indoors.
User groups across the city expressed discontent with the Aug. 23 orders and communication from IHA on Wednesday in a KTW article, which can be read here.
