Kamloops Blazers aiming to end nightmarish road slide against well-rested Giants in Langley

The Kamloops Blazers will be aiming to end a 12-game road losing streak when they play the B.C. Division-leading Vancouver Giants in Langley on Saturday.

Vancouver (24-12-2-0) has not played since Sunday, when they blanked the Kootenay Ice 6-0 in Cranbrook.

Kamloops' (15-21-2-1) most-recent defeats came on Vancouver Island — 4-1 and 5-3 losses to the Victoria Royals on Friday and Wednesday, respectively.

B.C. Division standings: Vancouver (50 points), Victoria (45 points), Kelowna (38 points), Kamloops 33 points) and Prince George (33 points).

The Blazers, who are 0-11-1 in their last 12 road games, have slipped into a tie with the Cougars for the second and final wild card position in the Western Conference.
