Kamloops Blazers atop B.C. Division after victory over Victoria Royals

The Kamloops Blazers vanquished the Victoria Royals  5-2 on Monday at Sandman Centre.

Matthew Seminoff scored twice and Fraser Minten added four assists for the Blazers in support of Dylan Garand, who made 24 saves to pick up the victory between the pipes.

Daylan Kuefler, Tye Spencer and Connor Levis also scored goals for the Blazers. Mats Lindgren added two assists.

Brandon Cutler and Tarun Fizer lit the lamp for the Royals, whose netminder, Adam Evanoff, allowed five goals on 33 shots in a losing effort.

B.C. Division standings, by win percentage: Kamloops (14-4, .778), Kelowna (8-2-1-0, .727), Vancouver (10-8, ,556), Prince George (7-7-2-1, .412) and Victoria (2-14-1-1, .125).

The Blazers and Royals will square off again on Thursday, a 7:05 p.m. start at Prospera Place in Kelowna.
