Kamloops Blazers blank Cougars, have not allowed goal in more than 200 minutes

The Kamloops Blazers have played 209 minutes and 33 seconds without fishing a puck out of their net.

Dylan Garand was between the pipes on Friday, turning aside 27 shots in a 3-0 victory over the hometown Prince George Cougars to post his fourth shutout of the campaign.

Josh Pillar notched two goals and Caedan Bankier added an empty-net marker.

The Cougars will play host to the rematch on Saturday.

Samuel Huo of the Tri-City Americans was last to score on the Blazers, the goal coming at 10:27 of the second period last Friday in Kamloops.

The Blazers won that tilt 12-3.

Rayce Ramsay picked up the shutout in a 9-0 win over Tri-City last Saturday in Kamloops, his third clean sheet of the season.

Garand and the Blazers blanked the Vancouver Giants 4-0 last Sunday in Langley.

B.C. Division standings: Kamloops (31-11-2-1, 65 points), Victoria (25-16-3-0, 53 points), Kelowna (22-20-1-2, 47 points), Vancouver (19-20-2-2, 42 points) and Prince George (12-25-3-4, 31 points).
