Kamloops Blazers thump Victoria Royals at Sandman Centre

The Kamloops Blazers scored seven goals on Saturday at Sandman Centre and would have had more if not for strong play from Victoria Royals' goaltender Campbell Arnold.

Goaltender Campbell Arnold was peppered with 58 shots on Saturday at Sandman Centre, where his Victoria Royals were thumped 7-1 by the hometown Kamloops Blazers.

Racking up goals for the Blazers were Matthew Seminoff (2), Caedan Bankier, Daylan Kuefler, Nick McCarry, Josh Pillar and Fraser Minten.

Blazers’ netminder Dylan Garand made 15 saves to pick up his seventh win of the campaign.

Brayden Schuurman tallied for Victoria, which has one win in 11 games this season.

B.C. Division standings: Kamloops (7-1-0-0), Prince George (5-3-0-0), Vancouver (4-2-0-0), Kelowna (2-3-0-0) and Victoria (1-10-0-0).

Prince George will play host to Kamloops on Saturday.
