Kamloops Rattlers open senior lacrosse season with comeback victory

Down 5-1 in their home opener, the Kamloops Rattlers finished strong to post a 10-6 victory over the Vernon Tigers in Thompson Okanagan Senior Lacrosse League action at Memorial Arena on Friday.

AJ Lockwood and JJ Woldum notched three goals apiece for the Rattlers in support of goaltender Scott Helton, who stopped 25 shots in victory.

Liam Hagerty had four assists and AJ Lockwood picked up three helpers.

Blair Lockwood (2), Mark Jurista and Chris Kerssens also scored for the home team, which will play the hometown Kelowna Raiders on Friday.

Kelowna (1-0) earned an 11-7 victory over Armstrong (0-1) on the weekend.
