The Kamloops Track and Field Club will begin a busy stretch of hospitality this weekend, with the Best Western Battle of the Border event set to run at Hillside Stadium.
More than 500 high school athletes from B.C. and Alberta are expected to compete at the interprovincial, B.C. School Sports-sanctioned meet.
Action gets underway at 5 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. on Saturday.
The KTFC will host a few more notable events in May.
Athletes from across the province will be at Hillside Stadium for the Dylan Armstrong Classic on May 3 and May 4.
Weight-throws action begins at 4 p.m. on May 3. All other events get underway at 8:30 a.m.on May 4.
The North and West Zone High School Track and Field Championships will be held at Hillside on May 7, with action beginning at 9:30 a.m.
Athletes from Merritt, Revelstoke, Lillooet, Vernon, Salmon Arm, Enderby, Armstrong and Kamloops high schools will be vying for spots at the Okanagan championships, the provincial qualifier that will be held at Hillside on May 13.
The B.C. championships will be held in Kelowna on May 30.
