Kamloops Track and Field Club athlete Ethan Katzberg won silver in hammer throw on Saturday at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England.
Katzberg, 20, threw a personal-best 76.36 metres to place second. Nick Miller, 29, of England won gold, with a throw of 76.43 metres.
KTFC head coach Dylan Armstrong has been working with Katzberg, a Nanaimo product, since he moved to Kamloops in 2020.
Katzberg qualified for the Commonwealth Games by throwing 74.16 metres — the personal-best mark he dismantled on Saturday — in April at the Oregon Relays.
