Kelly Olynyk has excelled since being traded to the Houston Rockets from the Miami Heat in March.
The South Kamloops secondary graduate, a 7-foot forward, in 17 games since the deal has averaged 17.9 points, 7.9 rebounds and 30.9 minutes per game on 58.2-percent shooting from the field and 40.2-percent shooting from 3-point range.
Olynyk averaged 10 points, 6.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 43 games this season with Miami before the trade.
Guard Avery Bradley, Olynyk and a first-round pick in the 2022 NBA Draft were dealt from Miami to Houston in exchange for guard Victor Oladipo on March 25.
Olynyk is in the final year of a four-year, $50 million contract he signed with Miami in the summer of 2017.
The Dallas Mavericks picked Olynyk 13th overall in the 2013 NBA Draft and traded him on the same day to the Boston Celtics.
Olynyk toiled for the Celtics from 2013-2014 to 2016-2017 and was traded to the Heat in time for the 2017-2018 campaign.
