Stankoven of Kamloops Blazers reaches scoresheet in Canada's rout of Sweden

Kamloops product Logan Stankoven helped Canada to a 12-1 blowout victory over Sweden on Tuesday at the Under-18 World Hockey Championship near Dallas, Texas.

The Kamloops Blazers forward finished with a goal and an assist in Canada’s tournament-opening contest.

Latvia and Canada will square off on Wednesday, a 6 p.m. start on TSN 1/5.

Brandt Clarke led the way for Canada on Tuesday, with two goals and four points in support of goaltender Thomas Milic, who made 28 saves to pick up the victory.
