Logan Stankoven had five points for the Kamloops Blazers in a 9-1 victory over the Victoria Royals in WHL pre-season play on Saturday at Sandman Centre.
Stankoven, the 16-year-old forward from Kamloops, had three goals and two assists.
Alec Zawatsky and Orrin Centazzo had two goals each. Zane Franklin and Tye Spencer had singles.
Franklin added three helpers and Centazzo had two assists.
Zawatsky, a forward who split last season playing for Moose Jaw and Swift Current, is one of four 20-year-old players on the roster. The Blazers can carry a maximum of three during regular season.
Forwards Kobe Mohr and Zane Franklin and defenceman Jackson Caller are Kamloops' incumbent overagers.
Dylan Garand started between the pipes for Kamloops and made 13 saves on 14 shots.
Dylan Ernst, 15, replaced Garand about halfway through the game and stopped all 10 shots that came his way in his WHL debut.
Connor Martin started in net for the Royals and allowed six goals on 21 shots. Keegan Maddocks replaced Martin and allowed three goals on 18 shots.

The Blazers will play host to the Kelowna Rockets on Sunday. Game time is 2 p.m. at Sandman Centre.
