Team Brown can reach Tim Hortons Trials, keep Olympics hopes alive, with one more win on Sunday

Team Brown will compete in the B side final on Sunday at the Home Hardware Curling Pre-trials in Liverpool Nova Scotia.

Brown bested Team Anderson of Martensville, Sask., 8-5 on Sunday morning in the B side semifinal

A victory in the B side final will grant passage to the Tim Hortons Trials, which will run from Nov. 20 to Nov. 28 in Saskatoon and produce the four-person men’s and women’s teams that will don the Maple Leaf at the 2022 Olympic Winter Games, which get underway in February in Beijing.

Team McCarville of Thunder Bay, Ont., won the A side to advance to the Trials, besting Harrison 9-6.

Brown thumped Team Zacharias of Altona, Man., 10-3 in B side quarter-final action on Saturday.
