Titans junior football squad extends unbeaten streak

South Kamloops has an overall record of 3-0 following a 49-7 win over Pleasant Valley

The South Kamloops Titans junior football team keeps rolling.

The Titans defeated the visiting Pleasant Valley Hawks of Armstrong 49-7 on Sept. 29.

Adam Turner, Kieran Hamilton and Lloyd Heggen each rushed for majors, while Kelton Blower threw touchdown passes to Cruz Parsons and Hamilton.

Derian Dyck and Jayden de Boer both had fumble recoveries for touchdowns, Ben Robinson and Heggen chipped in with interceptions and Hudson Jones converted seven point after attempts/

The victory improved South Kamloops’ league record to 2-0 and overall record to 3-0, having earlier defeated host Salmon Arm 31-0 in league play and edging Robert Bateman of Abbotsford 14-6 in an exhibition contest in the Fraser Valley.

The Titans’ next game is Oct. 6 in Kelowna to face Rutland. The next home game is Oct. 12 at South Kamloops secondary when Okanagan Mission of Kelowna visits for a 4 p.m. kickoff.
