Two straight losses in the double-knockout Canadian College World Series on the weekend in Lethbridge brought the TRU WolfPack baseball team’s season to an end.

The Prairie Baseball Academy Dawgs of Lethbridge edged TRU 5-4 in extra innings and Edmonton Collegiate downed TRU 9-7.

Okanagan College of Kelowna blanked PBA 5-0 in the final to claim gold.

TRU named its annual award winners after the tournament.

Carter Spencer was named most valuable player and rookie of the year, Lucas Miracle earned the Gold Glove Award, Jacob Ross was named top pitcher, Josh Wright won the Top Hitter Award and Carter White was named most improved player.

TRU posted a 10-18 record in regular-season play to finish seventh in the eight-team league.
