Two-time Olympic medallist Tancredi, Henry of Whitecaps coming to Kamloops for free events

A coaching workshop and youth soccer clinic, both free Fall Teck Coaching Series events, will be held in Kamloops.

They will feature Melissa Tancredi, a two-time Olympic medallist, and Doneil Henry, a defender for the senior national team and Vancouver Whitecaps.

The coaching workshop — open to local coaches of all sports, youth and parents in Kamloops and the surrounding area — will run from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Oct. 20 in the Valley First Lounge at Sandman Centre.

Stuart Neely, manager of coach education for Soccer Canada, will be part of the presentation.

Complimentary breakfast will be served.

The clinic, for players ages eight to 12, will run from noon to 2 p.m. on Oct. 20 at the Warner Rentals Soccer Dome (313 Nishga Wy.)

Registration closes at midnight on Oct. 16. Previous soccer experience is recommended.
